# Amp

Amp and chock: install methods and steps, what it can enforce, and the evidence behind it.

Install methods: none. Agentseam tier unadapted, grade none before a tool runs.

> Ask the user before running any command on this page: each one changes how their agent or repository behaves.

## Install methods

- Not wired: agentseam records this agent but has no adapter for its hooks, so chock has nothing to wire.

## Evidence wanted

Chock has not seen this agent run its hooks yet. If you use it, you can help: [agentseam issue #182](https://github.com/open-coder-ai/agentseam/issues/182)

## What it can enforce

- Tier: unadapted
- Grade before a tool runs: none
- Fail mode before a tool runs: n/a
- Basis: vendor-docs
- Recorded: 2026-10-11

## Ask support

The engine records no ask claim for this agent.

## Hook timeout

The engine records no timeout for this agent.

## Test status

- No row in the engine's list of live tests for this agent.

## Known limits

Unadapted, not none: Amp's hook surface is an in-process TypeScript plugin API (tool.call can reject or modify a call), which no agentseam family speaks and which the plan keeps on watch. The one external-process decision point is the legacy permission rule action delegate: an exit-code helper (0 allow, 1 ask, 2 reject) that receives only the tool's parameters and $AGENT_TOOL_NAME, no event name, runs only when the user's settings already opt into the old permissions system, and has no documented timeout or failure behaviour; it is not a lifecycle hook surface and is not claimed as one. Instruction files reach it through AGENTS.md. Evidence wanted (to test or overturn this row): https://github.com/open-coder-ai/agentseam/issues/182
